M600i Bluetooth PAN Guide

Right, here we go. I will take you through the easiest setup first which is ad-hoc.

First off, pair your M600 and PC.

Second off, goto network connections and ensure you have enabled Bluetooth Network here

Next goto my Bluetooth Places and click view devices in range

Select your phone from the list

double click the Personal Ad-Hoc User Service, it should go green when connected.

Now we move to the phone ... go to Internet connections and then the Groups tab and edit "Internet" - then add new account and tick Ad-Hoc Bluetooth PAN and then tap Ad-Hoc BT PAN and change the priority to 1.

Et voila, you have eabled Bluetooth PAN, if you now go to the browser and try and load a web-page you will get a pop-up with you able to select the BT device you want to connect to, namely your PC.

If you want to avoid this step then set the M600 up slightly differently by creating a new Bluetooth Internet PAN connection in Internet Connections - give it a name - add your PC in the Device tab - save it and accept it being added to your internet profile. then edit the group to put the new connection as Priority 1. This then means in range of your home Bluetooth PC as first port of call you will connect automatically to it and if not you will check for any other add-hoc Bluetooth devices and then finally your network data connection.
